RUTINASLos seres humanos tendemos a ser rutinarios. La razón tal vez sea porque esto se vuelve cómodo. Una vez que hemos desarrollado una rutina y la practicamos constantemente, nos acomodamos, y entonces se vuelve todo más fácil. Son ideas sacadas de la imaginación o de la desviación de relatos verídicos que con el tiempo se fueron deformando hasta llegar a nuestros días, pero que se valoran por formar parte de la idiosincrasia de un pueblo, aunque no sean ciertas o no tengan un fundamento. La tradición y la costumbre terminan convirtiéndose en religión. Así ha sucedido a lo largo de la historia de muchos pueblos y provincias de nuestro país. Todo lo que hoy conocemos como religiones, o que incluso hacemos en nuestras iglesias, ha sido el resultado de la tradición mas que de el conocimiento, revelación y aprendizaje directo de nuestro Salvador. La forma que tenemos hoy de realizar el culto, las campañas, las reuniones, los ministerios, la cátedra de la Palabra de Dios, etc. Son el resultado mas bien de la tradición y de la repetición de lo que instituyeron los que nos precedieron, muy seguramente respaldados por Dios, pero que no son extraídas del aprendizaje directo del Maestro de maestros: Jesús. La religión es metódica y rutinaria. Todos las actividades están preestablecidas. Todo lo que el creyente tiene que hacer es lo que se ha hecho siempre. No hay necesidad de cambiar nada porque así ha funcionado por siglos. Todos estos métodos o formas inamovibles, rutinarias, rígidas y estrictas llegan al punto de aburrir y volverse tediosas. Hay que ser alguien muy rutinario para que esto llegue a agradar y no cansarse. La religión es tan rutinaria que termina por producir una de dos cosas en las personas: 1. La gente termina por resignarse y adopta una religión para acallar su conciencia y, con ello, sentir que está cerca de Dios aunque no le conozca ni experimente su cercanía o, 2. La gente termina por hartarse y alejarse totalmente de todo lo que tenga que ver con cultos y aún de Dios. Lo cierto es que en términos generales, la religión es aburrida y agobiante. Pero quien la práctica está dispuesto a soportar el tiempo que sea necesario por sentir alivio emocional o por sentir que así agrada a Dios. Sin embargo, cuando una actividad se nos vuelve costumbre y tradición, aún cuando sea para Dios, tiene el peligro de convertirse en religión. La Iglesia cristiana contemporánea, tenemos que reconocer, tiene sus orígenes en la separación de la Iglesia católica romana y que fue el resultado de la reforma iniciada primero con los precursores como Wyclief, Jan Hus y otros, hasta llegar con Lutero quien consumó el movimiento. Sin embargo, al ser el resultado de una separación de una religión tan poderosa, no se escapó de arrastrar ciertas formas y métodos acerca de la liturgia que rodeaba el culto a Dios. Ya que cabe recordar que Lutero no intentaba destruir a la Iglesia Católica, sino depurarla y volverla a los fundamentos de la fe verdadera basada en La Biblia y las enseñanzas de Cristo como eje de la vida espiritual. Durante el proceso de la Reforma, lo que fue reestructurado principalmente fue la doctrina básica acerca de la salvación que había sido torcida y usada para enriquecerse ilícitamente. Y también regresar la dirección de la adoración hacia la persona únicamente de Cristo, el Padre y el Espíritu Santo. Y aún así la liturgia siguió siendo casi lo mismo. Las catedrales e iglesias nuevas que se construyeron aún conservaron la idea gótica o románica que había tenido por siglos. Cambió el corazón de la antigua religión católica y se convirtió en la Iglesia protestante que con amor busco nuevamente al Salvador con las viejas formas de la Iglesia católica. Así ha sido por los últimos 500 años. La doctrina acerca de Cristo y la salvación han seguido siendo el motor de la Iglesia protestante, las nuevas construcciones ya no son catedrales ni capillas góticas o romanas, pero la forma sigue siendo muy parecida. El culto no ha cambiado mucho y aún me atrevo a decir que hoy estamos rayando en la religión que no cambia nada y no es capaz de ser original y espontánea como lo es Cristo. Cada 500 años parece que le sucede lo mismo a la Iglesia de Cristo y cae en un exceso y falta de identidad, y valores, por lo que Dios tiene que meter Su mano para reformar todo, aunque eso signifique destruir de nuevo la vasija para volverla a hacer. Y, ¿Quién podría oponerse al alfarero de destruir el trabajo ya hecho para volverlo a formar, cuando se es simple barro en sus manos? ¡Necesitamos una Reforma otra vez!Los fariseos se enfurecieron con Jesús cuando atento en contra de "las tradiciones de los ancianos". Se enojaron a tal punto, que aún buscaban excusas para acusarlo y condenarlo a muerte. Las tradiciones eran sagradas para los fariseos; no así los principios de Dios sobre el amor y la misericordia. Que miserable condición de estas personas. Tener en una mayor estima y valor a las tradiciones en lugar de el deseo del corazón de Dios de amar y perdonar a todo el mundo. Que triste condición religiosa de estos "líderes" que no pudieron soportar que Jesús hiciera las cosas totalmente distintas a lo que ellos pensaban y creían. No podían siquiera, pensar que estaban equivocados, y se enfurecieron sobremanera el día que Jesús se los gritó en su cara diciéndoles: "escribas y fariseos hipócritas". La ética y las buenas costumbres de sus tradiciones eran suficiente para ellos para sentirse satisfechos cumpliendo con su religión. No soportaban imaginar al Mesías sentado a la mesa con pecadores; conviviendo con rateros cobradores de impuestos, consolar a una mujer adúltera, o permitir a una prostituta lavar sus pies con lágrimas. Esas cosas no cabían en las costumbres religiosas de los fariseos, saduceos y escribas, quienes estaban acostumbrados a la ética religiosa de no juntarse con pecadores para no ser “contaminados”; para no manchar su “santidad”. Mientras, Jesús los abrazaba, consolaba, reía con ellos, comía a su lado, los sanaba, los perdonaba, los salvaba y jamás llegó a perder su santidad. Los fariseos dejaron fuera al Mesías de sus vidas y sus cultos. Rechazaron sus ideas innovadoras. Criticaron su origen y su edad para andar enseñando. Lo insultaron diciéndole que lo que hacía no provenía de Dios, que tenía un demonio. Lo llamaron bebedor o borracho, comilón, amigo de pecadores, rebelde, blasfemo, ignorante, etc. No es de extrañar entonces que siempre haya gente que rechace las nuevas ideas. Siempre habrán fariseos que critiquen de mala manera y juzguen y condenen cualquier cosa nueva, aunque venga de parte de Dios, por el simple hecho de que no cabe en sus limitadas mentes tradicionalistas y religiosas. Lo más triste es que nunca pudieron, ni podrán, hacer algo nuevo. Su creatividad ha sido truncada y en su lugar han desarrollado un sistema de creencias tradicionalistas para no tener que pensar en algo nuevo. Pero si alguien llega con una idea nueva, se encargan de hacerle ver que está equivocado porque: “¡Así no se debe de hacer!”. Tratarán de castrar la creatividad de los más jóvenes, y si no pueden hacer que piensen como ellos, entonces buscarán mil excusas para crucificarlos tal y como lo hicieron con Cristo. El espíritu fariseo no se acabó con la cruz. Sigue vigente y sigue causando dolores de cabeza en la Iglesia. Desafortunadamente muchos han abrazado la ideología de este espíritu y han rebajado los principios dinámicos de la Palabra de Dios a una simple tradición religiosa a la que han estado acostumbrados porque la han practicado toda su vida y así les ha funcionado muy bien. Y no dudó que esa forma tradicional haya funcionado, lo que si dudo es que aún lo siga haciendo.
